The first favourites post of 2019, damn can you believe we are already 1 month in. This months favourite consists of a blinding highlight, my new fave cleanser, the toner everyone talks about, a voluminous mascara and a hydrating serum.
MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Gold
Oh my I am so obsessed with this highlighter. It leaves me with the most blinding highlight with just 1 swipe, I can’t get enough of it. It has the best lasting power and even by the end of the day when my makeup is clinging to my face for it’s dear life, this highlighter is still glowing and staying strong. I love love love it.
If you have read my latest post, then you will know how much I am loving this cleanser and how it’s become my new favourite. This shows just how great it is and if you haven’t seen this post, then check it out here. But basically this cleanser has worked wonders on my skin, it removes my makeup so well without any fuss, has left my skin so hydrated and glowing. I have been using this every single time I have worn makeup these past few months, and it hasn’t let me down.
If you saw my first ever Sephora haul in the summer from my trip to Rome, then you will have seen that I purchased this wondrous and most talked about toner then. I have used a lot since then, which from looking at the bottle you couldn’t even tell as a little goes along way with this toner. I just apply a little amount to a cotton wool pad and then soothe it all over my face, after cleansing and let it work it’s magic and boy does it. My skin instantly looks and feels refreshed, especially my nose, which looks and feels incredibly smooth. It has made such a difference to my skin and has now become a staple in my skincare routine.
I have tested a few MAC mascaras over the past few years, but nothing compares to this new beauty within my collection. I have had problems with MAC mascaras leaving black marks around my eyes, during the day due to it’s wet formula and it’s just not a good look. There is nothing worse than a quick toilet break, to look in the mirror and finding a panda staring back at you. However, this mascara doesn’t have this problem, which I am so relived at, as I was a little hesitant to try it thinking I would have the same problem I always do. This mascara makes more lashes look so long and adds so much volume, as though I am wearing falsies. I have been loving trying it out this month. It may be one of my new faves alongside the Givenchy mascara.
An old favourite of mine, but definitely a goldie. I received this mini Superskin serum within a gift set I got for Christmas, which you may have seen in my What I Got For Christmas post. I have been using it ever since and I have falling back in love with it again, I just wish it wasn’t £45 for the full size bottle, as I have already nearly ran out. It smells so good, with it’s lavender scent and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and glowing. I always apply it on a night before bed and my skin feels and looks amazing the next month. I love this serum!
So there you have it, my January faves!
