September Favourites

Autumn is finally here, much to a lot of peoples delight, yet not mine as I am still longing Summer days and holidays in the Sun. I am excited for a lot of events in the fall/winter season such as Bonfire Night and Christmas, yet not looking forward to the cold weather and dark nights. Another month down, does however means another favourites post is upon us.

Primark Toner

I love a good toner and I have tried my fair share including the Pixi one, which recently came into my collection after my first ever trip to Sephora, check out this post to see what else I got. I picked this up after spotting it in the Primark beauty section for only £2. It’s a really good toner, which doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and removes any dirt or makeup that my cleanser didn’t get to. It leaves my skin glowing and so soft! I love this toner!

Rimmel Lasting Perfection Foundation- 100 Ivory

The Rimmel Lasting Perfection foundation is one of my favourite drugstore foundations on the market. I have been loving it lately and that’s all I have been wearing for the past few weeks. It’s full coverage, with a dewy finish and lasts all day. It claims to last 25 hours which is a bit excessive, as no-one wears foundation for that long and I would say by the end of they day, it has started to come away around my oily t-zone. It does oxidise a little which is annoying, as it isn’t a perfect match for my skin tone, however it doesn’t make look really orange.

BeautyPro Detoxifying Bubbling Cleansing Mask

I received this mask from BeautyPro in my first every Glossybox, which you may have seen in my review blog post. I tried it out the other day and oh my I love it. It is a sheet mask that when applied bubbles onto the surface into a foam, which you then massage into the skin after 10 minutes. My skin has never felt so soft ever since I have used this and I haven’t had any spots either. I am so impressed with this mask and I will definitely be repurchasing this again.

Buxom Cosmetics Lash Mascara

I received this mascara from the Glamour Beauty Club a good few months ago now and have been testing it out since. I had never heard of Buxom as a brand before this, but I know they are now sold in Debenhams. This mascara claims to be volumising to give you full and thick lashes. I would definitely say it’s voluminous, as it has left my lashes looking much darker and full. I have really enjoyed trying out this mascara.

Sleek Matte Me Liquid Lipstick- Velvet Slipper

As soon as Autumn/Winter rolls around I love rocking a dark lip. The Sleek Matte Me Liquid Lipstick in Velvet Slipper has been my go to lip of choice, now that the weather has changed. It is a dark purple colour, with a creamy formula, that dries down to matte very quick and doesn’t dry out my lips. I have been loving this lately and I am sure it will be my lipstick of choice for the rest of the fall season.

  1. I love the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation too although I do find I have to mix two colours together to get my skin tone (I feel like I am missing the shade in-between although the two bottles I bought were next to each other in the shop). I also love Sleek as a make-up brand although I have yet to try any of their lip products. xx

    1. I totally feel the same way about the shade not being right, yet for me it’s that the lightest is slightly too dark for my skin tone. I have only tried Sleek lip products, however I have received a Sleek eyeshadow palette in my Glossybox, so can’t wait to try it Xx

      1. My friend has the same problem and swears by The Body’s Shops foundation lightening drops which lighten your foundation (apparently, this is hearsay). I have a Sleek highlighter and eye shadow palette and I love the highlighter palette – it is so pigmented and lasts all day! xx
