At the beginning of the month, I was invited to the evening do of Ben’s cousins wedding. This of course was the perfect excuse to get dressed up and I went searching for the perfect dress for the occasion. I headed to Missguided as they have a wedding section, so I knew this would be the right place to search.
As soon as I saw the Red Bardot Frill Fishtail Midi Dress, I fell in love and off it went straight into my basket. I have a massive love hate relationship when it comes to Missguided for the fit of their clothing, so to say that I was scared this may not fit or even look good on me was an understatement. As soon as it arrived, way quicker than I expected let me I add, I knew this was the right dress for the wedding and I fell in love with it. It hugged every part of my figure in all the right places and the frill detail is just so pretty.
I never ever wear red, you will always see me in black, so to step out of my comfort zone and go for such a bright colour is so unlike me. But I loved it!! This dress was only £25 and with student discount is only £20, such a bargain. I decided to pair it with my gorgeous crocodile skin shoes from New Look as they are so comfy, so last the whole night.
I wanted this dress to be the statement piece, so for makeup I just went with a nude smoky eye and a nude lip, velvet teddy of course. As for my hair I usually curl it, but for once I wanted to do something different, so I went for a slick back side bun. I received so many compliments on my hair, my Nana even thought I had got it professionally done at the hairdressers, bless her!
Shoes: New Look
Clutch Bag: Peacocks
This is the finished look, both my Mam and Nana both said I looked like a Spanish girl and I felt like the real life Spanish dancer emoji for the night!
