What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag

As you may know in less than a month I am heading to Rome, which has meant a lot of holiday prep recently including what makeup I am taking. I thought I would narrow it down to the products I really need so that I don’t over pack, as I am guilty of this. It was so hard to choose, but I tried to be smart with with my choices and I have managed to narrow it down to less than 15 products.

Foundation- L’Oreal True Match

This foundation has been my go to recently and it’s perfect for the warmer weather. It provides a dewy finish, contains SPF and lasts the whole day. So I knew straight away this would be the ideal foundation to take away with me.

Contour/Bronzer and Highlighter- Kate Moss Rimmel Sculpting Palette

I knew I had to take this product with me as it is super handy. It contains a highlighter, bronzer and blush, so 3 of my base products are ticked off in this palette. This palette with leaving me glowing like a bronzed goddess while I am away.

Setting Spray- Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray

As I am heading to Rome in the summer it’s gonna be super warm, so I need my makeup to stay intact all day. This fixing spray is perfect, as it works well in holding my makeup in place and keeping my oily t-zone at bay for most of the day.

Brows- Revolution Pro Brow Pomade

This brow pomade has become a new favourite in my collection, so of course I had to take this with me. It creates defined brows so effortlessly and makes doing my makeup on a morning a whole lot quicker. So while I am away and short on time this will be perfect.

Eye-shadow Primer- Urban Decay Primer Potion

I need a product to keep my eye-shadow in place all day without it creasing or wearing away, so I had to bring my favourite eye-shadow primer. Honestly this stuff is amazing and without it I would be lost.

Eye-shadow- Urban Decay NAKED Heat Palette

I just had to bring this palette, as it’s the perfect Summer eye-shadow palette. Burnt oranges, Reds, Pinks what’s not to love! It’s super pigmented, lasts amazingly, especially alongside the primer potion and creates the most gorgeous eye looks. It will be perfect for night times in Rome.

Powder- Rimmel Stay Matte

I have an oily t-zone so I have to powder my face every single day, so my makeup doesn’t come away in this area. I had to choose this powder as it’s mattifying, so really locks my makeup in place and lasts the majority of the day. This will be perfect with the weather being so warm, as I will be sweating a lot and my oily skin will be going nuts.

Base- MAC Strobe Cream- Pinklite

This product is the perfect base underneath my makeup,  it provides such a gorgeous glowy effect to my skin and creates a dewy effect to my makeup. I am all about dewy skin in the Summer so I had to bring this with me.

Mascara- Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama

I need a mascara that doesn’t leave marks around my eyes from the heat, and doesn’t run down my face. This is why I went for my latest obsession, as not only does it provide amazing volume and length, it doesn’t smear all over my face.

Lips- Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick- Moca, Lime Crime Velvetines- Red Velvet, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream- Copenhagen

I decided to pick 3 different colour lipsticks so I had a variety of shades to choose from. I went for liquid lipsticks, as I will be out exploring all day I need something that will last. I believe these shades will be perfect and all have great lasting power, so are ideal when I am eating and drink during the day.

Concealer- Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer

I am loving this concealer recently, as it’s so brightening, full coverage and doesn’t crease underneath my eyes. I know this concealer would be perfect for these reasons, as it will last well in the Rome heat.

What makeup products are you taking away with you this Summer?

  1. Loved reading this post!! I have that exact jack wills makeup bag and it’s such a great size for travelling; I find it especially useful if I’m traveling without checked luggage because it really helps to save space & limit the amount of big items you’re bringing which you’re not allowed with flight regulations! I’m going away in a week so this post was super helpful💗😊
