My First Voxbox: Rimmel London

I finally received my first Voxbox* last week after waiting for my mam to send it to me at Uni. I was so excited when the package arrived and I was dying to try out all the products. The Voxbox includes their foundation and concealer from the new breathable range, the Kate Moss sculpting palette and a moisture renew lipstick in the shade 180 Vintage Pink, which are all part of the #FREEYOURSKIN range.

I was most excited to try the foundation as I love trying out new foundations to see what works and what doesn’t. I have been using it over the past few days and I am still unsure how I feel about the applicator of this foundation. I think I much prefer a pump on a foundation, so I think the sponge just isn’t cutting it for me. As for the formula it’s very nice it’s lightweight yet still a good coverage which is easily buildable. It’s lasted quite well which I am super impressed about it and it’s totally mattifying which is great when you have oily skin like me. Overall I am enjoying it, despite the applicator.

As for the concealer, I really like the applicator for this product. The sponge makes it so much easier to apply the concealer and get right under the eye, it would also be helpful to blend it in however I use a concealer brush instead. The formula is very creamy and brightening which is what I prefer in a concealer. In terms of longevity, it holds quite well in certain areas, however it isn’t the best but isn’t the worst. It does the job but I am still unsure how I feel about this product!

I was intrigued to see how good the Sculpting Palette would be, especially as I know some bronzers can be dirty and some highlighters just aren’t pigmented enough. The bronzer is certainly my favourite out of the 3 products, it isn’t too dark that it leaves a line across your face, yet it still defines your cheekbones and adds warm around your forehead, I am loving it. The highlighter isn’t bad, as it does the job and adds a glow to your cheekbones but it’s really nothing special. It isn’t really pigmented which I prefer but more subtle and I much prefer other highlighters I own. If you like a subtle highlight then this is perfect for you. I haven’t had a chance to try the blusher yet as I am not really a blusher person, however it is a gorgeous colour and when swatched it seems pigmented.

The lipstick is total autumn vibes, due to it’s vampy purple/pink colour. The formula is not a usual formula I would go for in a lipstick but I actually like the fact it’s moisturising and it means it applies creamy onto the lips. I haven’t really had a chance to wear it out yet, so I can’t say much for longevity, however I do feel like due to the formula it wont be very long lasting. I can’t wait to try out this lipstick throughout October.
