DIY Polaroid Washing Line

IMG_3740I have seen so many polaroid washing lines all over Tumblr and Twitter and I decided to create one myself. Its such a cute way to decorate your room with pictures and I love how mine has turned out. They’re also so simple and easy to make and don’t take much time at all.

You will need:

String, Wooden Pegs and Polaroid photos

How to make a Polaroid Washing Line

Firstly, you will need to measure the string to the length you want it.(Make it 1cm longer on both ends to ensure it can hang up)

Secondly, mark the wall where you are hanging the washing line so that you remember where you want it.

Next, you must choose a selection of photos you want to use for your washing line. I printed all of my photos from the app LALALAB and it only cost me 29p a photo. I printed off over 50 photos, but eventually narrowed it down to 14 photos.

Then, you must hang up the string. I did this by putting 2 nails slightly into the wall where the crosses are placed, then tied either end of the string to the nails. I found this was the easiest way to hang up the string.

When the string has been hung up, you can begin to attach the photos onto the string using the pegs. Remember to leave small gaps between each of the photos. I left a 3cm gap between each photo.

Thanks for reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts!
